How to advertise services and find clients in Serbia
A practical guide to a service listing that clearly explains the result, price, service area and availability—without expensive campaigns.

When someone searches for “plumber Novi Sad,” “English lessons Belgrade,” or “apartment cleaning Zlatibor,” they are not looking for a clever slogan. They need a professional who can solve a specific problem in the right place at the right time.
That is why a strong service listing is more than a digital business card. It answers the questions a client has before the first call: what exactly do you do, what will it roughly cost, where do you work, when are you available, and why should they trust you?
We are building Rsale so providers can present those answers and move from discovery to agreement in one place. Publishing a listing is free, and Rsale does not take a commission from the job you agree with the client.
Start with the client’s problem, not your job title
“Experienced professional” sounds respectable, but tells search engines and clients very little. A useful title combines the service, location and outcome:
- “Boiler repair in Novi Sad — on-site service”
- “Private English lessons in Belgrade and online”
- “Upholstery deep cleaning in Niš”
Do not force every possible keyword into the title. One precise headline and a natural description are more useful than a list of cities and services you do not actually cover.
Explain what the client receives
Your opening paragraph should answer three questions: who you help, what you do and where you work. Then define the scope. If you install air conditioners, say whether the base service includes travel, standard installation, a working test and cleaning the work area.
It is equally useful to state the limits. Extra materials may be charged separately, work at height may need an assessment, or the final quote may require photos first. Transparency does not drive good clients away; it prevents mismatched expectations.
The best listing does not promise everything to everyone. It helps the right client quickly recognise the right service.
Show the work, not only the tools
Photos of completed jobs build more trust than a generic image of equipment. Add a varied set: before and after, a tidy work area, a close-up that demonstrates quality and, when relevant, the equipment you use.
Use bright, sharp images. Do not expose a client’s address, documents, licence plates or face without permission. If you are just starting, show your own sample work or process and label it honestly.
Publish a price or a pricing rule
Clients often skip a listing when they cannot even estimate the budget. When possible, use a fixed price, an hourly rate or a price per session. For variable work, choose a “from” price and explain what the starting amount includes.
If you can only quote after an assessment, list the details you need: photos, floor area, address, device model or desired deadline. Our guide to creating a clear service price list covers this in more detail.
Be precise about your service area
For a local service, geography is part of the offer. Name the city, municipalities or a realistic travel radius. For online work, state the platform and time zone. If travelling outside the city changes the price, publish the rule in advance.
On Rsale, the category and location help connect the listing with people searching for that type of service in a relevant area. A complete profile, clear photos and consistent details make the decision easier.
Make the next step obvious
Do not make clients guess what happens after reading. End with a simple instruction: choose an available slot, send photos in chat, or describe the task. For services with predictable duration, enable online booking and set an accurate schedule. See our guide to online service booking without constant calls.
Chat keeps the conversation in one place, while reviews after completed work help future clients evaluate quality. This is not a shortcut to reputation; it is a practical way to build it one job at a time.
Pre-publish checklist
Before publishing, check:
- Does the title say what you do and where?
- Does the opening explain a concrete, realistic result?
- Is it clear what the price includes and excludes?
- Do the photos show your actual work?
- Have you defined the service area or online format?
- Are the duration and available slots up to date?
- Does the client know the next step?
You do not need a perfect marketing plan to begin. You need an accurate listing that answers real questions. Improve it later using the messages and enquiries you receive.
Publish your service on Rsale — free, with Serbian, Russian and English support.
