Dev log: April 2026 — what shipped

A short report on what the Rsale team shipped over the last two weeks. No marketing, just the facts.

What's new

• Journal on the homepage — a block with three fresh articles right below "Services";
• Black blog header — dropped the blue, cut the visual noise;
• Blog categories — "Real estate" became "Cases", "Cars" became "Dev log";
• Image upload — pipeline rewritten from scratch, no more lost previews when creating a listing.

Internal improvements

1. Migration to Svelte 5 runes ($state / $derived / $effect) completed for the homepage;
2. SSR queries to the blog are wrapped in Promise.allSettled — a blog outage can't take down the homepage;
3. Graceful fallback to mock data added when the DB is unreachable.

In progress

• Service worker for offline favorites;
• Push notifications for new chat messages;
• Admin v2 — one panel for moderating listings, articles and reports.
